A bridge too far

Syrian refugees hold their hands up in the air as they try to cross a bridge in northeastern Syria without authorization from the Kurdistan Regional Government, based in northern Iraq, on Wednesday. The group of more than 150 Syrians looking for refuge in neighboring Iraq attempted to cross but after waiting an hour on the bridge were turned back to Syria.
